  <title>Using Kepler Workflows In Ecology (Contribution to the annual meeting of the GfÖ)</title>
  <rationale>A workflow about carbon stocks in the BEF-China experiment was created and vizualized via Kepler. Several means like complexity, quality and variable usage were created to measure the Kepler workflow itself. These measures can help to decide where it is good to use controlled vocabularies and ontologies as well as helping to detect potential processes for automatization. The poster contains only the results about the complexity measures. Main conclusion: Complexity decreases throughout the scientific workflow. Workflow steps with low complexity and variability are good starting points for controlled vocabularies and automatization.</rationale>
